Welcome to Westwood! Thank you for taking the time to review the first 24-25 Westwood Wire, campus newsletter. Our goal is for parent communication to be proactive, timely, and relevant. Our newsletters will be accessible through your email inbox, Westwood Twitter, school website and PTA platforms In addition to a message from me, the topics will include campus updates, academics, athletics, counseling and fine arts. We hope to continue our collaboration with you by compiling our communication in a way that is meaningful to you and allows you to best engage with the wonderful work being done at Westwood Junior High.

The Westwood leadership team welcomed our new teachers to campus this week. We are excited about these new Wolves and know that they will fit seamlessly into our campus's expectation of excellence. The following week, all faculty and staff will return for a week of team building and preparation for our students.

Please mark your calendars for Schedule Pick-Up on Wednesday August 7 for 8th grade - 3:30pm-4:30pm & 7th grade - 4:30-6pm. Details can be found below.

The first day of school is Tuesday August 13th, when all students will report to campus. Wolf Camp will begin the school day on August 13th and 14th with your student’s advisory period teacher. During this time students will participate in campus orientation, getting to know you activities, presentation of expectations, and 7th graders will receive their Chromebooks. The revised bell schedule for both August 13th and August 14th will be sent in next week's Westwood Wire.

The faculty and staff at Westwood are ready to connect with your students on Tuesday, August 13th. If you have any questions please reach out and ask. We are excited to begin the 2024-2025 school year!
